Update
7 months ago – Mon, Jan 19, 2026 at 01:13:07 AM

Hi Everyone,

Apologies for the delay since the last update - there's been much going on my side which has been delaying me posting, but I have some breathing space today, so here goes...

All the Pay Over Time backers have now completed their surveys, and funds are due from KS later this week, so I think all add-ons and Pledge Manager requirements have been completed - thank you!

I am about half way through production, and pledges are being mailed out. I will shortly message each of you with a tracking number for your pledge when I have it / your package has been sent. Tariff craziness is not helping the situation much (supplies of resin trays and resin has become patchy as well as possible knock-on effects with import duties) but I will try and get on top of any resulting issues and keep you all informed.

As always, feel free to message me if you have any questions. It was great to chat to some of you at Barton Bowl on 10th Jan and hand over some pledges. I hope those that received their pledges are pleased, and I will push on getting as many more out as fast as I can. Off to clean another production batch, and pack and post.

Cheers!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
8 months ago – Thu, Jan 01, 2026 at 01:40:07 AM

Hi Everyone,

Season's Greetings to you all! I hope you had a happy and joyous festive season. Sadly I came down with Flu the weekend before Christmas Day, and so spent most of the period laid up in bed. I'm over the worst of it now, but still struggling with a cough and low energy, which I'm aiming to shrug off anytime soon!

Obviously the holidays and my bought of Flu slowed down production somewhat. But my resin deliver did arrive. Just now waiting on my replacement resin tank and we should be all guns blazing for the first week of Jan! I will continue to get pledges produced, packed and shipped as fast as possible, and will keep you all posted with progress.

Cheers!

Production Update
8 months ago – Thu, Dec 18, 2025 at 07:29:19 AM

Hi Everyone,

Production has slowed somewhat over the past week or so. I'm waiting on a delivery of resin, which is taking its time (Christmas I'm guessing) and on a new build tray - my current build tray has developed a fault which means I can only use about 70% of its capacity.

Notwithstanding though, pledges have been going out. I think I've fulfilled about 20-25% so far, and will get some more out this side of Christmas.

I will post another update before finally hanging up my gas mask for the festive break (resin really does give off some pretty unpleasant odours!) but in the meantime, stay safe (the weather here in the UK is truly awful) and keep plotting those team rosters for the new 2025 season!

Cheers

BackerKit 'locking' and finalising production counts
9 months ago – Mon, Nov 24, 2025 at 07:18:17 AM

Hi Everyone,

We now have the vast majority of Surveys completed, and add-ons added, so we are well on track with the project timescales. As mentioned before, those that have opted to pay for their pledges via instalments will need to wait until their final payment is completed before receiving a survey, but for those that have already received and completed a survey I will be locking your pledges and delivery addresses at the end of this week (30th November). If you therefore want to make any last minute changes, please do so over the next 5 or so days.

I am pushing on with production as I write (my family are getting very used to the constant background whirr of my printer working overtime!) and am hoping to start initial deliveries of pledges at the end of this week. This will be a small number initially as I build up the requisite stock to fulfil all of your pledges, but I'm aiming to  build a head of steam over the coming few weeks.

I have also committed myself to play my Norse Orcs in my local club's new season, which kicks off in January 2026, so I am trying to squeeze in painting in the hours when I am not printing! I will try and show some pictures soon so you can see one interpretation of how they can look on the pitch. I hope the quality of my brushwork doesn't fall away too badly! (I'm having to help my son paint his new Wood Elves too - I promise I may regret!!)

As always, any questions guys just drop me a line, and I will keep you all posted as we progress.

Cheers!

BackerKit Surveys and Pay By Instalments
9 months ago – Sat, Nov 15, 2025 at 01:53:52 AM

Morning All,

A few of you have been in touch chasing your invites to BackerKit / Pledge Manager, and getting a strange 'the project is not ready yet' message when asking for your invite to be resent.

I have had an explanation from BackerKit last night as to why this is occurring. If you chose the 'Pay by Instalments' option on Kickstarter, BackerKit won't send you a 'live' invite until your last payment is collected. This is to make sure that Backers complete the KS side of the process before accessing BackerKit where pledges are confirmed / add-ons added / shipping calculated / pledges shipped. The 2 companies are separate and neither want to get caught up in untangling who owes what to whom if there are outstanding cross-overs and loose ends.

This may mean that some of you will not get a live BackerKit invite until January (I think the instalment option was for 3 monthly payments? I know the 1st instalment has already been collected. Correct me if that is wrong).

I will make sure that BackerKit / Pledge Manager remains open for you all and won't be shut down until all surveys are complete / pledges confirmed / addresses provided etc. so don't worry on that score. But it does mean there will be a delay for a few of you in completing your pledges. Apologies but I wasn't aware this was a 'thing' with KS / BK and I hope it doesn't cause too much inconvenience.

I hope that clarifies and apologies again - not a situation I've experienced before!

Cheers

Greg
